Orange, CA - December, 2002 - Jon Goldman Associates, Inc. (JGA), manufacturer of data capture and process controls for thermal processing systems and other semiconductor equipment, has just completed the fifth phase in its joint development agreement with semiconductor equipment manufacturer, Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), Tokyo, Japan. JGA has integrated its SPC Trend Analysis software into the newest generation of TEL's WAVES and AGC (Advanced Group Controller) based thermal processing system for 300mm wafers, named TELFORMULATM. This application enhances the semiconductor manufacturer's ability to control production through the use of sophisticated Input Parameter SPC data. The original agreement was established in February 1999. This is the fifth agreement TEL has signed with JGA.

"Technological expertise, combined with creativity and progressive thinking, has earned TEL an excellent reputation with customers around the world," said Ike Ishii, Group General Manager, IPC Group, TEL "Among the reasons for this achievement are partnerships with forward-looking companies such as Jon Goldman Associates. We are happy to be able to continue that relationship."

"We have worked closely with TEL over the past four years to develop software to make their thermal processing systems even more state-of-the-art by providing easy-to-use applications to monitor the manufacturing process, analyze SPC data, and highlight process trends," said JGA President Jon Goldman. "Our Trend Viewer software is used on all TEL Furnace AGC systems."
