Used ICCI Equipment Resale Policy

Dear Resellers,

We appreciate the opportunity to help you recondition your used ICCI equipment. We understand that you are interested in making use of as much of the existing hardware and software you have in stock as possible, consistent with providing end-users with maintainable systems. The guidelines set below should help you determine which versions of existing ICCI equipment we can support. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Dear End-Users,

Due to the fact that several large US-based chip manufacturers who were major users of ICCI furnace control equipment have recently shut down, there are a lot of used ICCI controllers available from refurbishers. ICCI has been in business since the early ‘80s, and has been shipping controllers for a long time. Unfortunately, we can only support relatively new versions of hardware and software, so from your point of view, you should insure that the controls you purchase are built with modules included in the list provided below. This will insure that you will be able to obtain service, support and spare parts from us. Much of the used equipment is in very good condition, and we can work with your equipment refurbishers to insure that you can obtain good quality controllers at a budget price.

List of Supported ICCI Hardware and Software

GMI Host software: We support GMI Host Version 2.0 or later. We do not support any Version 1.xx or DOS versions.

Chassis Modules: (Gas control board, CPU board, Temperature control board)

CPU Cards. We support the 8002785 CPU card.

Temp/Boat board: 8001405 or 8001415.

Gas control board: 8002555 or 8001295.

If the used chassis module is not equipped with the above board set, resellers should purchase new PC boards as needed. We can also provide a warranty on used chassis boards, but you'd have to let us test them. And there will be some nominal cost to you for this service.

If you or your customer needs spares or replacements for any of the boards listed above, we can provide our current revision-level boards, which are compatible.

Gas interface modules:

We support the 8002635 and 8002645 Gas interface boards. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you or the end-user with technical support on older generation gas interface electronics. In the event an end-user experiences a problem with an older generation gas interface modules, the solution will involve yanking out the old hardware and installing our current Gas Interface Kit. Therefore, we strongly suggest used equipment incorporate new gas interface kits.

Temperature I/O Electronics:

We can support some older revision-level 8001415 boards; the cutoff is Rev-F. The problem with the earlier temperature-I/O boards is that they don’t work with our current SCR firing cards. So you plan on shipping our 8002365 SCR firing cards, we can provide support for all the temperature electronics. Otherwise, we can’t.

We also support some 8002605 and 8002425 temperature I/O boards. Please ask about specific revision levels.

In the event the end-user needs help with unsupported temperature I/O electronics, the solution involves changing the firing card and temperature electronics.

Yours sincerely,

Jon Goldman
